Get Ready For Summer!

Thanks to all who made it out to the Spring Clean this year! Click here to view our photo album!
With the access swept and trimmed we can look forward to some big events this summer:

Saturday June 6, 4pm: Summer BBQ Potluck & Key Drive

Get ready for summer! The annual BBQ Potluck will also double as a key drive this year. Bring a chair, your beverages and a tasty treat to share!

A new lock will be placed on the lake access gate, and the gate will be fixed following the Summer BBQ. We will be collecting $40 from each household at the BBQ.

The fee will cover this year's property tax and insurance for the lake access, as well as the cost for the new key.
If you can't make it to the BBQ, please contact either Lisa Gallagher (43 Rosehill Dr) or Carrie McAlister (12 Rosehill Dr or email "carrie.mcalister @ gmail.com") for other arrangements.

Our lake access needs a makeover. We will be debuting landscaping plans for the access at the BBQ for discussion and comment. We hope to start improvement this summer - have a look at the plans and let us know what you think!

Calling for Engaged Volunteers!

Are you looking to be more involved in your community? Interested in representing your neighbours? We're looking for street representatives to help with Cedarvale Community Association's outreach. A street rep will help out with communicating with the neighbourhood about our upcoming events, and gathering information, ideas and opinions on improvements to our lake access. Contact Lisa or Carrie for more information!

Musselmans Lake Residents Association Earth Day Clean Up a success!

Beautiful weather and a great turn out of enthusiastic volunteers made the MLRA Earth Day Clean Up 2015 a resounding success.

Special thanks goes out to our sponsors and community volunteers:

• Musselmans Lake Residents Association for organizing and galvanizing our community into action, and providing the coffee, hot chocolate and doughnuts!
• UNITED SOILS MANAGEMENT and Tiny Seedlings for providing a fantastic chili and corn lunch, as well as the street sweeper!
• Most Excellent Productions for music and comedy entertainment!
• Cedar Beach Resort for providing the meeting location, vehicles and garbage/recycling bins!
• The Coolest Little Ice Cream Shop for ice cream donation for hungry little helpers!

Next Event:

CCA Annual Spring Clean, May 9, 10 am

Our lake access needs a quick clean-up. We're looking for volunteers to help out. Calling all yard waste bags, lawnmowers, weed-wackers!

Also at the Spring Clean we will be discussing:

• Future investments and events for our lake access. Our access needs a makeover! What improvements would you like to see? What kind of fundraisers can we use?
• Key Drive - the lock will be updated later this year so everyone will need to purchase new keys. We will discuss the date for the new lock and funds required.

Put on your work gloves and thinking caps and join the fun!
